Un délice, une russian imperial stout tout en douceur.

Excellente bière Russian Imparrial Stout. Toute la puissance de 11% et en même temps toute en douceur. Très bon gout !

Let's take a Russian Imperial Stout as a nightcap, shall we? Bottle. Best before 9/2020 Temperature: +12,5 C Black color. Soft-looking, long-lasting latte colored head that likes to stick tightly at the glass. Looks like I got a solid RIS here: 4,75/5 I have no idea when this is bottled but judging by the scent it has been aging sometime in the bottle. The nose has that nice, elegant, almost red wine aroma. Nice and soft wood notes as well with vanilla as its buddy. Even a hint of smoke plus the normal RIS aromas of coffee and chocolate. Not the most in-your-face aroma but complex and so smooth: 4,25/5 Mouthfeel is medium-full and round, despite the dry wood/roasty touch and high bitterness. The feeling on the mouth, however, seems to just end way too fast and not stick around like some Imperial Stouts. Only the dry wood feel stays: 4/5 Taste has that same thing going on as was in the aroma, doesn't punch like Mike Tyson but has that neet, smooth complexity with the red wine, wood, coffee, and chocolate flavors. But no alcohol at all (the red wine doesn't really taste alcoholic) despite the 11% ABV. I'd like this to have some since it would really make this seem more like a Russian Imperial Stout. The flavor finishes with a dry and bitter feel: 11,75/15 Solid beer. Love the different layers this has. So, a well-complex, roasty and bitter Imperial Stout with dry flavors of wood, courtesy of the virgin oak barrels used. Beautiful long term aging notes also, I assume. I like this!: 15,75/20 =40,5/50

Puhtaassa tammitynnyrissä kypsytetty Russian Imperial Stout van de Korenaarilta. Kylmiä väreitä. Kaatuu hyvin tummana lasiin, päästäen kumminkin kevyen vivahteen viininpunaista valoa sieltä ja täältä. Vaahto on vaalean puun värinen, pehmeä, ohuehko ja pysyvä kertuus oluen pinnalla. Tarttuu aaltoina lasiin. Tuoksu on hyvin pehmeän puinen tammesta ja vaahterasta, kirsikkaa, rusinaa, tuoretta luumua, vaaleaa karamelliä, kevyttä marjaista käyneisyyttä karhunvatukasta ja karpalosta, omenaa, omenankuorta, juoksevaa toffeeta, leipäisyyttä, nahkaisuutta, pähkinävoita, suklaata ja mausteisuutta, pyöreän raffia mallasta. Onpas tässä. Maku on hyvin pehmeän tamminen, omenapuinen, vaahterasiirappinen, hedelmäinen kuivasta omenasta ja tuoreesta luumusta. Vaniljaa, isosti toffeeta, karamelliä, viikunaa, erinomaista suklaisuutta, leipäisyyttä, torttua, maanläheistä makeutta tryffelistä, maltaisuutta, mausteisuutta ja kukkaisuutta. Jälkimaku toffeinen, suklainen, vaniljainen, omenainen ja tamminen. Suutuntuma matalahappoinen, hyvin kermainen, täyteläinen. Mielettömän hieno. Ei ehkä ihan RISiltä tunnu, mutta ei haittaa. Todella mukava, puolen litran pullon tuhoaa hitaasti yksin ja nauttien joka siemauksesta - herkkuva.
