Howling Wolf
6.0% Porter
Liquid black magic blessed with the essence of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Experience the enchanting effects of roasted coffee, caramel, and dark chocolate in this full-bodied imperial stout. A sophisticated blend of different types of roasted barley gives the Howling Wolf that otherworldly dark appearance, layers of flavor, and a touch of sweetness. At 6%, this porter remains dangerously drinkable; you have been warned! A robust yet silky-smooth flavored potion that will leave you howling for more.

Gute Brauerei, Tipp Biere.

Goût de café trop prononcé pour moi.

Pour was uneventful and even a little flat. Left a body of expectant black with no head. Scent is quite mild, the coffee and dark chocolate are certainly present but are a little subdued. Mouthfeel is exactly what you would want from an imperial porter, heavy and slick with no carbonation. Taste is more pronounced than the scent, lots of roast coffee and dark chocolate style deep maltiness. A nice warmth from the alcohol and then a mild vanilla sweetness comes through to balance the edge. A solid porter.
