11.5% Imperial Stout

Brooklyn Black Ops does not exist. However, if it did exist, it would be a strong stout concocted by the Brooklyn brewing team under cover of secrecy and hidden from everyone else at the brewery. The myth is that this supposed “Black Ops” was then aged for months in bourbon barrels, bottled flat, and re-fermented with Champagne yeast. Presumably such a beer would raise a rich, fluffy dark brown head and it would combine chocolate and coffee flavors with a rich underpinning of vanilla-like bourbon notes.

Nice bba stout, I been drinking this stout for a few years and the complexity has changed somewhat. Overall a nice stout.

Dégustée le 5 juillet 2024 au sein de la brasserie, à Brooklyn. Nez sur les fruits rouges. On a de la mûre, de la cerise et de la framboise. On retrouve aussi des notes de whisky. En bouche, c'est très liquoreux. On a beaucoup de corps et c'est très charpenté. C'est très légèrement torréfié. Notes de stonefruit (fruits à noyaux). En fin de bouche, on a toujours des notes de fruits rouges qui sont accompagnées de notes de chocolat. D'ailleurs ça se marie très bien! J'adore ce whisky et cette bière aussi!!
