Colour is dark chestnut (like you might see in strong ale such as Old Peculiar). It's described as a 'White Stout', I can only imagine white was chosen to clarify that it isn't the usual shades of 'close to black'. Anyway, in every other way it's a stout. Nose is coffee with smooth vanilla and coffee in the mouth that lingers on the finish. Top job, very satisfying, just confusing to look at!
