Speedway Stout’s ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. Nice! About 3-4 minutes passed between my first sip and my second and in that time, my rating jumped by several tenths. The initial sip was uninspiring but after it warmed a tad, wow. A solid stout that hides the ABV pretty well - only slightly noticeable.

Kolmisen vuotta edellisestä maistosta. Tätäkin piti aikoinaan tilata ulkomailta, mutta pitkään ollut monopolin listoillakin saatavissa. Tämä yksilö on näköjään tölkitetty 12/24, joten kiitoksia Alkolle vaan "kellaroinnista". Huoneenlämmössä tietenkin.
Maistuu kahviselle, tumman maltaiselle, suklaiselle ja kevyen lakritsiselle.
Suutuntuma on kohtalaisen täyteläinen, melko pehmeä ja vähähiilihappoinen.
4,5 pistettä annoin aikaisemmin. Liekö tullut kokemuspisteitä itselle haalittua liikaa, vai onko Alko vaan huonosti säilyttänyt tätä, mutta tällaisenaan joutuu tekemään tuntuvan alennuksen pisteisiin.
Ei tämä pahanmakuista ole. Melko kuivaa kuitenkin.
