Last of my birthday beers from December and I’d been putting this off as I didn’t think I’d like it. Saved it to drink with some other Belgian beers and oh my what a pleasant surprise!
It’s got hints of a Flanders Red and Doppelbock but with out the sourness (Flanders Red) or intense malt (Doppelbock). It’s very fruity, plum like. But it’s also got chocolate malt coming through too.
What makes it most appealing is, there’s a no strong bubblegum/banana/clove character to it 😂
Happy Friday!! 🍺

Strong and dark ale that tastes plum like and Belgium based. Not like an English ale at all.
