Murky, dark rusty beer fills the glass from the tap. The moderate, short-lived carbonation creates a one-finger, off-white, fluffy head that descends soon to a thin lacing and sticks tightly onto the side of the glass.
The scent offers loads of sweet biscuit, hefty wheat flour and some toast, seasoned with dried apricot and banana. The fragrance is heavy and oversweet.
The palate displays rather massive sweet biscuit, a decent amount of wheat flour, quite heavy banana that is also a bit fermented as well as recognizeable toast. Further behind, one can also detect dried apricot, truly distant dried peach and a bit of cantaloupe.
The medium-bodied beer finishes slightly bitter sweet malt, strong biscuit, fermented banana and dried apricot. The aftertaste lingers in mouth over a short to medium duration.
The mouthfeel is medium-heavy, somewhat sticky and lip-glueing, even distantly sappy as well as relatively Belgiany. Very tasty indeed!
