Sauna warming beer. Clear, deep gold. A fluffy, clean white foam that climbs one finger high and descends gradually to a thick ring. Banana, orange peel, cantaloupe, lemon pulp and wheat malt constitute the olfactory supply. Sweeter than I expected. The tastebuds receive – and enjoy – orange peel, lemon pith, cantaloupe, banana, relatively ample wheat malt and a whisper of clove. Alcohol is nowhere. The body is medium to medium-full. The end tweaks modestly more bitter, with pithy and peely elements growing in intensity in relation to other flavors. The sensation is medium-full, somewhat intense, slightly crisp, pithy and marginally herbal.
