Hidromiel buenísima

A strawberry-juice-colored red-orange mead pours in the glass. Nonexistent scent on nose. No foam at all as this is a traditional honey-wine-like mead from Poland. Tastes extremely sweet. Honey is recognizeable but the overwhelming strawberry nectar and dried fruit dominate. Mouthfeel is extraordinarily sappy and sticky, glues the lips together. This is an interesting acquaintance, has nothing to do with the Finnish Sima. Not necessarily my cup of tea but I still have two more meads to go after this one. Fortunately this weekend is long.

Hunajaisen makeaa. Alkoholi taustalla, mutta nousee esiin aivan jälkimaun lopussa. Tyylilajissaan onnistunut, mutta ei oikein omaan makuun. Talvisena lämmikkeenä olisi elementissään.
