Flight 3/4. Basically translucent, black beer with a latte-hued head. The fragrance gives molten butter. That means diacetyl. My tongue spots diacetylic flavors that mingle with roasted malt, faint rye bread and a suggestion of licorice. Light body. Ends otherwise unchanged but the flaw of diacetyl disappears. Good. I normally love diacetyl but it just disturbs here. The mouthfeel is light, marginally butyric and roasty. Rather lackluster, as well.
