Like the guy on the label this drink looks bruised. A sort of copper orange colour with a generous tan head built of thick foam. Like the swelling of the man’s on the labels eye this too will subside.
The components of this beer really come together as one to make a holistic aroma that reminds me of one of those fruits I have only ever tried once, like kumquat or persimmon.
Rich caramel toffee malt, citrus notes from either hops or yeast and a big alcohol make up this aromatic sensation.
Pleasantly the flavour is much different than whet the nose suggests. I like this because surprises are fun
There is an impressive vaporous alcohol that wafts around the mouth and drifts up into the sinuses while exploring the tastes.
Rich malts that seem like they will lead into the fruitiness I’m expecting, but instead lead into a very earthy, woody malt sweetness. Definitely some esters that add a nuance of fruitiness to the drink.
Medium heavy body, nice warmth, and pleasing sweetness that is kept in check.
