An old style red rye bitter ale.
This ruby-red beer fuses flavours of spicy fruit, hops and subtle malt in a harmony of sweet and bitter notes, resulting in a complex, full-flavoured character.

I think the cask had been on a little too long so can't truly judge the beer

It's supposed to be a rye beer. Not getting a lot of anything really. Rather poor by Woodforde's standards. I expected more.

Amber ale looks smooth like John smiths. Want to say it's got a fruity aftertaste but not 100% sure either way give it a try. Found in weatherspoons Eastbourne.
