Another from the collaboration case. This gorgeous copper red beer doesn't give up many secrets to the nose. What mild aroma there is is mostly rich caramel and some lightly fruity almost dried fruit notes. It also includes a syrupy oaky malt sweetness and a copper like tanginess. The flavour makes up for the tame aromas with a rich palate. Right away there is a woody oaky caramel and a heavy dried fruit taste followed by a peppery bite that lingers as the rest of the flavors fade out. The fruity flavour is hard for me to describe but kind of a spiced pumpkin fruitcake type of thing. I dunno.... it's good though.
