Dégustée le 5 janvier 2024 avec Thomas Vlot à Amsterdam dans la brouwerij ‘t IJ trop cool

A nice fresh but still tasty pale ale. A bit modest for my taste but not bad

Refreshing and fruity

First official beer of our Euro Roadtrip ( last night’s Bishop’s Finger on the ferry to try and get me to sleep doesn’t count!!). I tried a few of their beers last time I was here so happy to come to Brouwerij ‘t IJs central beer garden and sample some of their stuff. Top marks from the wife for their pils. The blonde and wit were well received by my cousin too. For me it was a standard pale ale and a light refreshing one at that. Grapefruit subtleties didn’t overpower, some sweeter tropical fruits come through to nicely balance the hop character. Quite light and effervescent actually, smooth bitter finish.
