I didn't know what a grand cru was do I had to look up this beer. Happy surprise this is an imperial Belgian wit. The dazzling gold colour emits a syrupy, fruity, banana, nutmeg, clove, Belgian yeasty aroma. Almost a bakery kind of scent in there. Promises to be very sweet I think. My tongue is happily wrapped in a Big fruity estery treat. Banana and bubblegum. Also some spicy phenol hints of clove and nutmeg. It is syrupy sweet but not overly so. Goes well with the rest of the drink. This is a warming, full bodied full flavoured Belgian delight. If it is a wit, i can't prove it. Not really very wheaty, but I love it.
