Malty with highlights of caramel & spice.

Tumman meripihkanvärinen, samea olut lähes ilman vaahtoa. Tuoksussa on mallasta, kuivaa hedelmää ja makeutta. Olut on täyteläinen, vähähiilihappoinen, makea ja pehmeä. Mausta löytyy mallasta, kuivaa hedelmää, siirappia ja katkeroa. Barley winet ovat suosikkityyliä ja odotukset olivat kovat. Siihen nähden joutui vähän pettymään. Makea. (2+7+4+8+15=36) 3,6

Ruskea väri, pullon suusta ylitunkeva vaahto. Tuokusssa on paahteisuutta ja pähkinää. Maku on hieman vetinen, pientä paahteisuutta. Joku tässä tökkii.

Hieman savun aromia, erinomainen tuoksu. Makeahko ja melko kevyt. Kaipasin hieman enemmän tuhtia runkoa. Silti hyvä nautiskeluun

Tuoksussa ja alkumaussa runsaasti ananasta ja mangoa. Maku katoaa ja jää hiukan vetiseksi. Ei tätä välistä kannata kuitenkaan jättää.

An English style Barleywine. For some reason, this style seems to be hard to find. One of my favorite beer styles! Bottled on 13.2.2020 Temperature: +12,5 C Deep amber color. A small, dirty white head with brilliant retention, I mean the foam sticks around forever. Nice: 4,5/5 Aromas of dried fruits, wood, marmalade, chocolate. Overall the scent is smooth with pretty good complexity: 4/5 Mouthfeel is just above medium. Carbonation feels a tad too sharp. Bitterness is low and after a sip, faint alcohol comes around but this is almost nonexistent: 3,5/5 Taste is very smooth with almost Lager like clean malty hues. Chocolate, fruits, earthy flavors as well. This could use more ballsy flavors as of now, this is too smooth and not rich enough: 10,25/15 Decent, smooth, and clean tasting Barleywine. But yeah, the absence of everything rich and big is very annoying. BWs should be perhaps the richest of all beer styles and Slow sippers. Not this easy, although at some level, all the smoothness is somewhat appealing: 13,25/20 =35,5/50
