Truman's
England
chevron_leftchevron_right
Truman's, one of the city's great brewing names, is back in London. It's been a while coming: Trumans’ legendary Brick Lane brewery closed in 1989 and by 2010 all that remained were the many pubs across the city that boasted the elaborate decoration – tiling, etched mirrors, etc – that was a hallmark of the old brewery. In that year, though, two enterprising East Londoners (James Morgan and Michael-George Hemus) revived the name. The long search for a London brewery eventually came to an end in Hackney Wick. The cask and keg beer produced since the move to Hackney Wick has been excellent.
