Made it to Polson Montana. Having dinner at The Shoe restaurant overlooking beautiful Flathead Lake. Trying out a local Montana brew. This Montana Scottish ale has a beautiful, totally clear deep red color. Aroma of sweet malt. Texture is a little heavier and creamier than I expected. Lightly roasted malt with faint notes of caramel and raisin. Starts sweet and turns flat and dry in the finish. Adds a few crumbs of toffee. Only the most modest amount of bitterness very late. Just reminds me much more of a heavy amber than a Scottish ale but it's very drinkable and I enjoyed it very much.

Smooth beer great for the winter time. One of my favorites from Montana
