Brouwerij Lindemans
Belgium
chevron_leftchevron_right
At Lindemans Brewery, we apply the traditional spontaneous fermentation method to brew our authentic lambic. And this is the lambic we use in our brewery to produce our specialty beers.
A few of these include the authentic Old Gueuze Cuvée René and Old Kriek Cuvée René that have a sparkling and slightly flavour with a dry finish thanks to the bottle fermentation method. or the filtered Gueuze Lindemans with its softer and slightly sweeter flavour. and the Faro of course, a pearly brown beer with a delicious sweet flavour created by the addition of candy Sugar. we also brew fruit beers: Kriek, Framboise, Pecheresse, Cassis and Apple for which we use juices from selected fruits.

Kullankeltainen, kirkas olut puolentoista sormen vahvuisella vaahdolla.
Tuoksussa on omenaa ja kirpeyttä.
Olut on keskitäyteläinen, hapokas, hapan, kirpeä, kuiva ja raikas.
Mausta löytyy omenaa, sitrusta, tynnyriä ja maustetta.
Aivan mahtava olut. Tasapainoinen ja monivivahteinen.

A non-alcoholic version of Kriek Lambic. What could possibly go wrong? Well, I can list a lot of things but let's cut that crap now and concentrate on the beer. This is beer, right?
Translucent, dark ruby. Limited carbonation. A decent one-finger head is born and then shrinks down. Mixes white and faint pink.
Intensive sweet cherry jam in the scent. Could tango beautifully with dark chocolate. No, there's no chocolate here. A bit of wheat biscuit instead. Just a hint.
Let me sip. Relatively sweet, still. Cherry juice this time, not jam. I can't even imagine any chocolate on the tongue, even the biscuit is considerably obscure. Not at all like a Lambic.
The body? Light, I guess. The end offers bowls of cherry juice. Just like upfront.
The mouthfeel is light, a bit thick, juicy and summery. Nothing funky. At all. Not that I expected funkiness, the alcoholic (3.5 %) version wasn't funky either. But it was light-sour, this is just sweet.
