My whole family came down to Back Forty Brewery to watch the fireworks. They really outdid themselves. Hundreds of people in the parking lot watching an absolutely fabulous show. Thanks so much Back Forty.
Again I am enjoying their really good brown ale called Truck Stop Honey. Can't go wrong with this. Having too much fun to make a review right now but I've reviewed it before. Time to have fun.

At Back Forty Brewing trying out their latest endeavor on an Imperial Stout. Andrew gave me a private tour of the breweries equipment, the hops area and mixing, fermentation tanks, and storage area for product, along with the canning machines. Really fun.
This Stout is too new to have a name. Maybe they'll Brew it again sometime if it goes over well. Really dark head, didn't last. Color of the beer is dark but some light comes through the bottom edge which is Ruby Red. Sweet dark malt aroma. Heavy texture but not syrupy at all, somehow it's heavy and crisp. Dark roasted malt. A touch of dark chocolate, a little bitter bite from roasted coffee, brings a modest amount of sweetness. The finish is the best. That's where the black cherry arrives along with the 12.2% alcohol burn, all while the roasted characteristic turns into a char.
I think it deserves a name.

At Back Forty Brewery on an absolutely beautiful day. They have a couple of beers that I haven't tried.
Small head in this 8-oz glass. Light yellow color, completely clear. Modest flavor which I think was intentional. Light crisp texture. I can only detect a faint corn malt. Very easy to drink, turns a little bitter toward the end. Flavors a little weak for me and the bitter finish seemed unnecessary but probably correct for the style.
