There is so much good beer here in California that I'm a bit behind with these posts. Another great pale ale - bought especially to go with my fish and chips overlooking the long, windy beach. A copper coloured beer that has a slight maltiness to it, but the hops are still strong. Packed with flavour but not overpowering. Refreshing. And importantly brewed about 50 yards away....as you can see by the sign!

We've just walked through Golden Gate Park to the beach at the Western edge. Passed a few 60's Hippie casualties at the edge of Haight Ashbury. One of whom was talking to a lamp post. There are brown pelicans flying past and surf is definitely up. This is a great example of a Californian IPA - brewed here at the pub. Massive amount of hops and a fruit blender full of tropical fruit, with strong but balanced bitterness. Lovely and fresh.
