Little head, medium high carbonation. Beautiful amber color.
The smell has very nice cereal, and sweet floral honey notes. .9
Beautiful honey and caramel attack. .9
Then some floral notes develop, still with a frank sweetness which truly makes this beer honey like. Strong caramel flavors too. .9
The aftertaste offers some cereal notes, while still keeping the strong honey and caramel dimension. Mastered sweetness during the aftertaste too. .9
Overall, a very nice, honey forward beer with great caramel notes! .9

Low carbonation, clear resinous color.
Nice pine smell with citrus notes. .9
Pine attack. Resinous feel. .9
Some citrus appears but is quite discreet, mostly sweet orange. .7
We have a nice and frank bitterness at the end. We still have some pine and resinous notes and a few sweet orange notes. .8
That’s in the standard range of what I expect for a craft west coast IPA. .7

No head, very low carbonation, super clear.
Not very expressive smell. We have some malt notes but that’s all. Maybe a bit of flower notes too. .7
Nice honey and hoppy attack though! .9
Then some flowery notes develop. .9
The aftertaste has strong and nice honey, flower notes as well as a few hoppy aromas. There’s a gentle bitterness and caramel notes too. Nice!! 1
Overall a very honey/flowery beer. There is also a caramel perspective too! The smell lowers a bit the overall note but don’t get me wrong this is a very nice blond! It has a nice body, and very good aromas! .9

Caramel/ toffee smell. Malt notes too. Nice! .9
Nice toffee/caramel attack. Some nuts too. .9
Then those flavors develop along with nice malt notes. The nuts flavors particularly develop. Nice full body too. .9
The aftertaste is a nice combination of nutty and caramel notes. There is also a nice subjacent sweetness. 1
That’s my first wee heavy/scotch ale ever, and I love it!! I don’t have anything to compare it to so my rating might not be very accurate. What I can say for sure though is that I really enjoy sipping this nice beer in this beautiful afternoon in Charleston WV! .9
Édit: a nice licorice perspective!!
