Lucid, chestnut brown beer with a fluffy, beige head that climbs two fingers tall. The retention keeps the foamy cap alive for a while, descending gradually and eventually becoming a marginal lace ring on the top. Caramel and raisin, at least, can be identified in the air. A faint hoppy amendment, as well. Maybe... The taste is a tad bitter but relatively easy anyway. The components include caramel, coffee, tobacco, distant molasses and a suggestion of raisin. And also a drop of resin. Has some character even. The body is light-medium. And that's nice. Keeps the package firmly in shape. The finish is caramelly, coffeeish and tobaccoish. Dry-leaning anyway. The mouthfeel is light-medium, slightly crisp, medium-dry, drying and beautifully balanced. Not weak in any respect. Solid piece.
