Past post from last Saturday. In Arkansas, for a wedding. Of course, Ryan and I are going to some breweries. Our second brewery tonight is Bike Rack Brewing Company. Sharing a flight of 5. Last beer on this flight. Okay. Wow. Pumpkin spice hits you fast and strong. Although I know the pumpkin is probably artificial, I can't tell it. Nothing metallic or artificial. And the Autumn spices are excellent. This tastes like Thanksgiving in a glass. Smooth, gentle, easy going lager. Wish I could have this at my Thanksgiving dinner table. Tastes like you should have this in front of a roaring winter fireplace.

The fourth beer on the flight. What a unique combination. Maple Praline combined into a schwarzbier. Interesting to find how this turns out. Texture seems a little flat. Flavor has Maple up front but not sure about the praline. Has undertones of sugary dough but, being from the south, I'm very familiar with pralines. This doesn't quite hit the mark on that part.

We are sharing the third beer. This brew actually mimics the flavor of a red velvet cake very well. Super sweet, maybe a hint of sour cream in there. Not bad for what they were trying to accomplish but the flavor does seem a bit artificial for me.

Second beer on this flight. First of all, congratulations on flavoring a red lager. Don't really see that. Flavor absolutely has the oatmeal cookie with cinnamon added. Texture is both crisp and light. All of the previous flavors continue through the finish with the addition of modest dryness. Artificial but well hidden.

Aroma of mild French roast coffee. Crisp texture, flavor is coffee, no sweetness whatsoever. No other flavors who get in the way of this stout. Simple and direct to the point.
