In the beginning, when God created Padasjoki,
Padasjoki was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of Päijänne.
Then God said, ”Let there be Sahti”; and there was Sahti.
And God saw that the Sahti was good; and God elevated the Sahti to the Heaven of the Brewniverse.
Greetings from Heaven! The beloved and worshipped Padasjoki hosts the Finnish Sahti Championships 2026. Dozens of delicious, intriguing, seductive, traditional, maybe also innovative Sahtis are awaiting! All free!
This event is extremely social. No time to write long stories here. As always, I try to put down a few adjectives that would describe each Sahti reasonably. If anything stands out – positively or negatively – I'll mention it. I want to avoid no-brainers.
This is gonna be F-U-N ! 🍻
The first Sahti is medium-brown. Loads of banana in the otherwise floury scent. A sweet taste: banana, bun and mango. Nice, fruity. Sticky, soft, smooth and thick. Excellent!

The neighboring city. Murky, light brown. A floury olfactory supply. Fruity. Cantaloupe, banana, barley flour. Floury, juicy, lip-glueing. Not a winner.
Edit: This is the winner of the contest! 🍻 Who knew...

Deep dark orange. Mango, papaya and banana in the scent. A very fruity palate: marginal citrus, orange, banana.
