A very tiny amount for tasting. Sweet fragrance, quite a load of juniper. The taste is relatively lackluster. Medium, reasonable. This won the Championships. (???) I'm afraid my assessment is distorted because the amount is soooo minuscule. Sorry about it...

IT IS THE TIME! Yes! The best beer festival in the universe is here and now. Just in case you didn't guess: The Finnish Sahti Championships 2024. Isojoki, here I am! The fourth time in a row to attend this good mood event. I will concentrate on tasting sahtis made by the contestants. Almost all competition sahtis and many others, as well, are available in the parking area and served from the trunk of the car — the so-called "trunk sahti" (takakonttisahti). And as always, everything is free!  🍻 I will do very short reviews only like I've used to. No time to write stories  😅  I'll focus on what is remarkable, what doesn't impress me, what is unique, etc. And I'll try to avoid saying no-brainers. The first Sahti is from Kankaanpää. The color is rusty. A bit pale. Moderate scent, sweet of course. Not as sweet on the tongue though. Slightly sour... Very viscous, thick, like kissel..
