Going off the wall today. Starting with a ginger mead. The has medium+ ginger taste that is really spicy. Has some light+ honey and light lemon. This was really nice with spicy ginger really making it. Looking into the background I found “It’s actually an old recipe for Jamaican Ginger Beer, but due to… questionable federal regulations, it can’t be sold as “Ginger Beer” simply because it’s brewed from honey”. Crazy US brewing laws. 🐝🍯🫚r

This is my 2nd venture of trying mead so don’t read much into it. This is dry hopped with 7 different hops. Has a citrusy taste that leans towards grapefruit and lemon. It’s also lightly floral with some honey to it. Not very bitter tho. It finishes a bit dry. Overall my first one was better. This was okay at best but seems like it needs a little more flavor to it. Here it is with todays garden spoils. Luckily the garden is still surviving. Doubt that it is going to last long
