Bruhaha Nano Brewery & Pop-up Taproom

Bruhaha Nano Brewery & Pop-up Taproom
United Kingdom

Based just off popular East Street in Bedminster at Bristol’s Windmill Hill City Farm, we are Bruhaha, a small Nano Brewery and pop-up taproom that is aiming to create an ultra sustainable brewery model. We brew in small batches (200 litres) in our unit on the Farm which we serve to the local community at our pop-up nights every Friday at the Farm and at selected venues around Bristol. We try to source the ingredients used in our brewing as locally as possible and our spent grain from the initial brewing processes is provided to the Farm, to be incorporated into the animal feed. As part of our remit, we are also experimenting with low impact brewing techniques such as Kveik yeasts, pressure fermentation and natural carbonation. This has enabled us to become more productive with minimal impact. We have produced a wide variety of beers from Pilsners and Doppelbocks to Best Bitters and Sours. We also try to incorporate seasonal ingredients from the Farm to make unique beers such as our Lemon Verbena Berlinner Weiße (Windmiller Weiße) or our Gooseberry Saison. Last year, we produced a cider with the Farm’s apples (in collaboration with Branch Cider Co.) and recently produced the official beer for the Bedminster Beer Trail in collaboration with two other local East Street breweries, Grain Alchemist and On Point Brewing Co. Our mission is to provide a unique hospitality venue to serve the local area and importantly give back to the Farm, with roughly 50p of every pint sold going to them!

A very nice porter. Roasted chocolate/coffee notes but also a bit of dark fruity flavour.

A reasonable hazy IPA. Kinda earthy, a little tropical and slides down very easily.

Really enjoyed the subtle roastiness and slight coffee notes. Judge’s label: That’s a good beer

Strange one! Tastes half (very) fruity hazy IPA (borderline fruit beer) and half rough cider! For that reason I half liked it and half didn’t. Judge’s label: Satisfactory
