Special beer, number 1600 on Pint Please. Ryan bought this bottle at the brewery and it has totally unique barrels used, and I love blackberries.
Has that normal head and color. Now the aroma, that's different. Boozy alcohol, sweet fruit Brandy. The texture is soft and very smooth. The maple with the bourbon barrel accents is in the forefront. Strong but not obtrusive. It then allows the blackberry Brandy to appear without a fight. Slides smoothly into the finish, adding a mild amount of bitterness and continuing a sweet blackberry Brandy characteristic.
All I can say is Wow! Very complex and a very elegant beer. From first to last, from the label to the extended method of aging in two different barrels, this beer has class. The complex flavors as it develops and exposes the characteristics developed from each individual Barrel is extraordinary. Undoubtedly there was pride in the method and perseverance of brewing this beer. In the future, I will visit this Houston Brewery.
