Ryan and I are having this Georgia Stout as a Duo while watching the Philadelphia Eagles play the Dallas Cowboys. Should be a good combination.
Almost no head on this totally dark brown beer. Not getting any chocolate and just a little bit of sour peanut butter in the aroma. First taste is not what I was expecting. A lot of char, mild funky chocolate, and a medicinal tasting red licorice. Ryan actually says its metallic and fishy. Now I can't get that out of my head. Whatever it is, it's nasty. Gave it three small sips and I'm done. What a pity.

Second beer of the day while out on the lake. This is a beer my son found from Peachtree Corners Georgia. First beer from this brewery, Anderby. A tall boy Mexican lager.
Didn't expect it to be hazy but it is. Initial flavor is definitely the Mexican lager characteristics, a little sweet corn with faint citrus in the background. Where at deviates is the finish. A sharp bitter lemon peel arrives. A little more than necessary. Even the overall flavor was ordinary. The beer seems young and immature, not giving the flavor time to develop. Can't really recommend it.
