4.1
We are at Whiskey River Ranch in Texas for our annual SOTS reunion. This is our 36th gathering on the Guadalupe river. This is entry number four into our best beer contest. Sorry about not adding the barcodes. They took that away from me. Their loss since I put over 800 beers on this website.
Medium yellow color. Looks like champagne in the glass. Starts with thin crisp texture, a little bitter and then the white grapes take over and dominate the flavor. Still dry, crisp on the finish with the bitterness level rising just a little but still retaining the white wine characteristic. It's so well hidden I totally forgot about the 9.2% alcohol which is completely invisible. Dangerous beer. This is a very good strong golden ale.

Very light color, partially hazy. This taste is weak, weak, weak. Very little corn flavor and what is there isn't very good. Don't even want another sip.

2.3
At the 2021 San Antonio Beer Festival with my son-in-law. Seems like the beer tents go on forever.
Aroma is French roast coffee on steroids. Intense raw bitter coffee. Bittersweet flavor is strong, really profound. Texture is not that thick. Too strong of a flavor for me. Going to drop it back a little because of that. This is burnt coffee and not revealing the 9.3%.
