In 2014, two breweries (the London Beer Factory and the Gipsy Hill Brewing Company) opened on the Hamilton Road Industrial Estate in Gipsy Hill. Gipsy Hill began by concentrating on beers under 4.5 per cent ABV, although that initial aim appears to have been jettisoned. No matter. Gipsy Hill makes fine beer in a variety of styles and strengths and their taproom is one of the best - and most accessible - in London.
