It’s somehow really well executed. I tend to be a bit critical of non-barrel aged imperial stouts but at least in this case there’s really no reason to be. A really solid, thick body, lots of flavour, balanced and sweet. There’s definitely a lot of coffee but it still isn’t bitter. Instead, it’s smooth and fluffy, with vanilla and coconut adding a really nice touch. ______________ On jotenkin tosi onnistunut. Vähän kriittinen monesti tynnyröimättömiä imperial stouteja kohtaan meinaan olla, mutta ainakaan nyt ei siihen ole aihetta. Tosi ryhdikäs paksu runko, paljon makua, tasapainoinen ja makea. Kyllä on kahvia paljon, mutta ei silti ole kitkerä, vaan pehmeä, kuohkea ja kivan lisän tuo tähän vanilla ja kookos.

Sunday nightcap. End of weekend. But definitely not the end of the vacation, still two more weeks to “do porridge”. Therefore, the end of the weekend doesn't really matter since Mon = Tue = Wed = Thu = Fri = Sat = Sun 😆🍻 Okay, let's cut the crap and do business. She's got the looks. The beer, I mean. The color is seductive: a combination of dark orange and pink, called coral. Looks very much like fresh pressed guava juice. Wow! The carbonation is really shy, more or less dead, still I can witness a pale yellow lacing that falls short of half a finger. The most interesting part of the appearance, however, is the thick loads of the fruit pulp particles in the beer, making the concoction look messy and turbid. I get a lot of guava in the scent. I wonder why. And a good amount of ripe pineapple. Strawberry is not very powerful but agrees to be detected after a while though. A bit of zesty tangerine can be observed in the background. Coconut remained hidden to my nose but not to my tastebuds. It's neatly intensive, cushioning the mushy pineapple and guava beautifully. Strawberry grows substantially in the palate, too. No citrus on the tastebuds this time. Maybe soft wheat supports the basement. The body is difficult to assess due to the fruit content. I'd say it's full anyway. But not malty. The finish is superfruity, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. The mouthfeel is full, tropical, slushie-like, pulpy and absolutely crushable. It's deep, thick and intense, smooth, creamy and lip-glueing. Unbeery like a “beer” can be but so what? I adore this (and the other masterpieces of this brewery). 🧡🩷💛

Livenä sinisempi kuin kuvassa. Pina colada-pirtelöä pienellä sitruksisella twistillä. Ananasta reilusti, kookosta ja vaniljajäätelöä perään sekä hieman sitruksista hapokkuutta pintaan. - - - Is actually more blue than in the photo. Pina Colada milk shake with a little citrusy twist. A lot of pineapple followed by coconut and vanilla ice cream, mixed with a bit of citrusy acidity on top.

After clearing of water vegetation, barbeque, sauna and swimming in the lake, thunder is rising. A prime time to open something unexpected. A guaranteed satisfaction by Mortalis. I have seen this beer in the pics, so the appearance shouldn't come as a surprise. But still, I'm a bit shocked... The beer is entirely turbid, impenetrable and shows a very unique color: aqua–turquoise blue. Jesuschrist, I could imagine a dishwashing liquid to look like this. On the other hand, this looks so sinful that I can't resist it! The carbonation is quite shy. A suppressed fluorescent turquoise froth pops up on the top and then it's gone. The scent is like piña colada: pineapple with coconut cream. A smaller amendment of strawberry plus lactose, kiwi and a whisper of blackberry can also be identified in the fragrance. Sweet it is, no doubt about it! Pineapple and coconut cream form a medley that dominates the gustatory universe, as well. Very reminiscent of piña colada, indeed! Like cha cha cha. Sweet red berries are rather ample here: strawberry, raspberry, cherry. Lactose, for sure. Sweet, as said. There's a fine line between very sweet and oversweet, this is not clearly either but simultaneously both. The body can't be assessed. I can't sense malt here. This feels full but it's because of other things than maltbody. The end is pineappley, creamy and coconutty. Gosh, fabulous words, right? The impression is milkshakey like there's no tomorrow. Big time. Sappy, lip-glueing, adjuncted, a bit pulpy, zesty and smoothie-like. Slightly tingly, as if fizzy. Perverted and intriguing at the same time. Innovative. A beautiful example on how flexible the boundaries of “beer” can be. 🩵🩵🩵 Worth trying but one is enough. 😅 A fun fact of the color: the turquoise color has been created with "blue raspberry". However, blue raspberry is not blue raspberry since blue raspberries don't exist. Blue raspberry is an artificial food coloring/flavoring substance.
