Wife's choice. Clear, orange, honey infused looking beer. A white velvety lacing. Fresh mango slices in the fragrance. Copious. Interestingly, the mango steps forward when I don't whirl the glass. When I do, passionfruit takes the lead. The same phenomenon can be observed on the tongue: passionfruit is more or less equal with mango. Wheat malt and a hint of biscuit in the background. The sensation is light, juicy, pulpy and tropical. But not as sweet and surely not thick as a Pastry Sour would indicate.

Flight 3/3 is lucid gold. A supersoft off-white moldy foam that exceeds one finger and remains dense in the sides. The olfactory supply gives grapefruit zest and peel as well as a hint of grass. Grapefruit dances also on the tastebuds. Relatively tame though, both zest and pith. Wheat malt, lemon pulp and a whisper of grass, as well. Leaves a light, zesty, a tad dry and moderately drying. Well, it's there...

Flight 2/3 is a tad misty, strawberry red. A clean white lacing is relatively oppressed albeit long-lived. Medium-sweet cherry juice in the air. Still, a sugary addition joins the show. Cherry juice also on the tongue, both a bit sweet and moderately sour at the same time. The mouthfeel is light, juicy and summery. Not bad for a not-so-attractive beerstyle.

My first flight in this city. Three Bear & Boar beers. Different styles. Flight 1/3 is translucent, deep gold. A white velvety head that reaches one finger and shrinks to a generous lace ring. No scent... nothing. Lemon zest, lime and orange pith land on my tongue. And a twist of pale malt. Feels light minus, zesty, pulpy and slightly drying. Interesting for a Lager.

Vähän ohut mutta citra kevyesti esillä ja puhdas…
