Wow, now this is special. This Brewing Gold Medal winner is brewed once a year at Xmas and left to mature in oak bourbon casks for 10 months. Every brew is unique, so my mouth says this. Rich molasses, lovely dark fruits, prunes and dates and all things Xmas pud. Lovely warmth going down the shoot. Black as pitch, light carbonation and a small stout yellow retaining head. Gorgeous. Got one for the cellar, will review it in a few years time.

Got one for the cellar (will review it in 2030), and one for now. Nice rich toffee notes, fruitcake, lovely colour, nice white head, very enjoyable.

Another English brewed Belgian style. This Abbey Tripel is golden spicey, with hoppy notes and a decent bitter finish.

Good to see this English brewery, trying out some Belgian styles. This Abbey Dubbel is tasty, dark malts, hints of spice, reasonable carbonation, small delicate but persistent off white head. Nice.
