Higson's Bitter Ale is now brewed by Love Lane brewing in Liverpool, close to where it was originally brewed. It uses English malts & Fuggles hops to give a fruity aroma & slightly spicy, yeasty & fruity flavour. I bought a bottle in Home Bargains @ £1.29 & was pleasantly surprised. A traditional & sessionable Bitter.

A very nice golden ale. Just the right amount of lemony citrus flavour. Slight bitter finish.
