Une brune assez fort en malte torrifié. Goût de café légèrement chocolaté. Mais cette bière manque d'épaisseur.

Une NE Ipa du bar, très bonne, rafraîchissante au houblon légèrement fruité.

Flight 4/5. Murky but not entirely opaque, black beer with rich, fawn lacing and fluffy lace ring. The scent puts forward a bit of chocolate and a drop of cream. The tastebuds try to enjoy the gustatory elements of espresso, a tiny injection of cream, faint salty licorice and a charred note. Unfortunately, the tastebuds get disappointed since the overall taste package is somewhat restrained and thin. The body is light to light-medium, perhaps closer to the former than the latter. The beer ends rather long with a bitter roasty aroma, bitter overstayed black coffee and a whisper of licorice root. The mouthfeel is still light, a bit tangy, burned and distantly charred.

Flight 3/5. Clear, pale amber beer with a white, silky lace ring. The scent displays strong pale malt and medium-hoppy, slightly piney hops, followed by a very distant butyric whisper. The taste is a bit strong, offering bags of pale malt, slightly piney hops and faint bitter caramel. The light-bodied beer ends long with relatively bitter malt and a bit of spruce needles, a drop of resin and a distant caramelly suggestion. The mouthfeel is medium-strong, crisp and faintly lip-glueing.

Flight 2/5. Lucid, gold beer with a clean white, airy lace ring. The fragrance portrays relatively farmhousey pale malt and remote grapefruit pulp. The tongue receives a tad grapefruit pulp, lemon peel, interestingly farmhousey malt and weak fruity hops. The body is light. The aftertaste pushes forward fruity, citrusy elements, especially lemon peel and grapefruit as well as some light-hopped malt, seasoned with a pinch of caramel. The aftertaste rolls on tongue for some time. The mouthfeel is light, faintly earthy and yet rather fresh.

Flight 1/5. Transparent, deep dark brown beer with ruby tint and a neat, fluffy, light tan head. The fragrance serves strong creamy coffee, a good dollop of syrup, bags of toffee and a hefty caramelly punch. The palate is, unfortunately, much less robust than what the scent would have indicated. I find watery syrup, bitter caramel and brown multigrain bread. The body is thin. The beer finishes astonishingly rushedly with bitter caramel and a drop of syrup. The mouthfeel is watery, which is no surprise for the ABV of 2.8 %. It's also a bit crisp, lame and uninspiring.
