Having another dessert Stout, thank goodness it's Friday. Half an inch of deep brown head, didn't stay for long. Chocolate aroma, smells like brownies with bourbon on top. Soft texture. I immediately get the barrel aged bourbon, strong but not overpowering. The brownie flavor comes through, especially into the nasal cavity, but toward the middle it changes more into the overcooked brownies along the edge of the pan. Not the chrisp brittle stuff but just the edge where it's tough. The vanilla is there too, blending in in a supportive manner. Strong finish that carries the flavor through turning a little bitter at the last. I enjoy this slowly and experience an accumulation of the alcohol that seems to increase as you drink it. Halfway through this tall boy can it went from a modest alcohol flavor to downright boozy. All the flavors follow this pattern of becoming stronger. This isn't a complicated beer with a lot of twists and turns, developing flavors, notes in the background. Straightforward barrel aged bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla. It's all there and it's all good.

I’m finding this one intriguing as it has a strange flavor profile I’m having a tough problem deciphering. Here is my best shot. Slightly citrusy with a strong fruity and juicy taste that leans towards tangerine, berry, stone fruit (not exactly sure which) that has just a touch of dankness. It’s also a bit tangy. I get hints of pine but it depends on each sip. It’s like it comes and goes. Has a touch of mint seems to linger in the mouth even though it is barely there. Has an almost medium hoppy bitterness to it. Finishes a bit dry.

This tastes more like a Tripel than a golden strong ale. It’s even darker like a Tripel. This has a Belgium spice taste that has white pepper and coriander/clove to it. I’m not getting any fruit to it. Overall it’s a decent Belgium style but nothing special. Does hide the ABV well.

This is more of a winter beer so it doesn’t quite meet my seasonal theme tonight. But who cares. This is malty that leans towards light toasted caramel. Then add in some spices that has a cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger taste that really take over. Spiced beers are not something I seek as I usually don’t enjoy them. This is pretty decent though. It is not overwhelmingly spiced which works for me. When they are in your face that is what I don’t like. Watching college football and this UT vs WA game is awesome. Back and forth scoring. Entertaining. 🏈🏈🏈

This has a medium bourbon taste with vanilla & oak. Has some light cinnamon, nutmeg, clove in the background.
