Great tropical taste, but the double IPA makes it needlessly heavy and alcoholic...

A rich coffee-coloured stout, strong burnt malt flavour

Flight 4/4
Transparent, amber beer with the olfactory package of somewhat sweet rye malt, pale biscuit, a little bit of caramel and a vanishing nuance of syrup. The tongue senses hefty rye malt with a medium-strong caramelly twist, grapefruit peel, strong hops, a tad spruce needles, faint resin and a pinch of toffee.
The mouthfeel a bit strong, slightly lip-glueing and a bit tangy.

Flight 3/4.
Limpid, gold beer. The nose experiences lemon pulp, a small injection of pineapple and some grated lemon peel. The taste portrays the same lemon zest, lemon peel and pineapple as well as a bit of grapefruit, distant mango and a suggestion of carambola.
The mouthfeel is light, extraordinarily tropical, really juicy and slightly crisp.

Flight 2/4.
Semifoggy, gold beer with the fragrance displaying lemon pulp and peel as well as some grapefruit. The palate puts forward strong-hoppy lemon zest and a good amount of lemon peel, followed by grapefruit and distant resin.
The mouthfeel is crisp, a bit tropical, summery and juicy. Excellent more regular IPA.

Ha, there was a local brewpub across the junction, so we headed there. I had 20 minutes to review four beers. Hence, the reviews will be considerably shorter than normal. What wouldn't a beer enthusiast do?
Flight 1/4.
Lucid, amber beer that offers the scent with mild caramelly malt and faint grapefruit peel. The tongue experiences light-crisp malt with a caramelly twist, a bit of cereals, faint toffee and a grainy twist.
The mouthfeel is light-crisp, a bit dry and relatively mouth-drying
