Just had the moon lit peanut butter.
The appearance of this one is similar: it's dark with red reflects. We have a low carbonatation and small bubbles.
The smell has roasted malt and coffee notes but it's not super powerful. .8
Nice coffee notes and roasted malt attack. .9
Then we have grilled bread notes. A great bitterness is also present throughout the degustation. The coffee aromas and roasted notes perspective continues. .9
At the end we have milky notes and even a few chocolate aromas. .9
Overall this beer keeps its promises since it's claiming to have milk chocolate and roasted coffee flavours. It checks these two assumptions and then delivers what we expect. Overall that's a great imperial stout, exactly what we expect from this style! That's a great beer! 1

Nice dark head. Dark color with reddish reflects. Medium carbonatation with thin bubbles.
Roasted malt smell. Hints of coffee. .8
Gentle attack with a creamy perspective. We have coffee notes as well. .9
Then the peanut butter starts to express itself along with roasted malt notes. The peanut butter is there but does not overtake the other aromas. It's well balanced and it really blends in perfectly by adding a little something without it being too much. It is the icing on the cake of this beer. 1
The aftertaste offers a gentle and controlled bitterness, along with coffee and roasted malt aromas. The peanut butter is still a bit there and blends in perfectly again. .9
All over that is a beer that totally keeps its promises. We have a nice imperial stout with roasted malt and coffee aromas that are highlighted by a nice peanut butter presence. Good work! .9

This was in collaboration with Warwick Farm Brewing (another great brewery).
This is fruity that has mango, berry, pear standing out a little but has a general mishmash of a tropical fruit taste. Hoppy bitterness is light at best. Has just a tad of a dry finish. Hides the abv well as I didn’t realize this was a double until looking at the canned date.
Canned 9/24/25.

Nice brownish head, medium carbonatation. Deep dark color.
Coffee notes on the smell, we have hints of chocolate as well. .8
Coffee and maple syrup attack. .9
Then we have spicy notes, probably from the cinnamon. We finally have smoother notes brought by the vanilla. .9
The aftertaste is mainly coffee and maple syrup. We also have cinnamon notes that are more discreet. .9
Overall that's exactly what I expect from an imperial porter, it's powerful, tasty and pretty complex! The milk also smoothen everything throughout the degustation. However the only downside is that it's not perfectly balanced since I was hoping we could taste a bit more the cinnamon... That's only a detail since this is a very good beer! .9

I have 2 West Coast Pilsners so I figured I’d do a compare tonight. This one is a collaboration of New Trail and Human Robot. WC Pilsner that is citrus infused.
This has a light orange/orange zest, hint of lemon & a light juicy fruit like tropical fruit taste. Has very light hoppy bitterness. Has a light bready, slightly biscuity malt.
This was very nice. It is kind of like a NEIPA with the hoppy bite taken out.
Canned 9/24/25.

This was excellent. This is very tropical that leans towards melon, pineapple, passion fruit and hints of papaya. Has just a touch of citrus hidden amongst the dominating tropical flavor. Very light hoppy bitterness. There some hints of pine but it fades in & out. Has a touch of a dry finish.
Just yummy
Canned 9/30/25.

I always love trying a new New Trail. This is a collab with Old Thunder brewing (never heard of them) combining Broken Heels (a beer I love) with their False Kingdom.
This has a tropical fruit with light citrus that leans towards mango, pineapple, very subtle other tropical fruits and light slightly sweet grapefruit. Just barely a hint of pine. Hoppy bitterness is light-almost +. Finishes juicy but with a little dryness to it.
Overall it ended up being kind of light and unoriginal. Kind of your typical average style NEIPA. A bit disappointing since I hold New Trail to a higher standard but still decent enough.
Canned 7/9/25.
It is nice to be watching some hockey now that it is getting chilly. 🏒🥅🏒

I’m not the biggest pumpkin ale fan but I remembered having Double Zombies and enjoying it. Saw a barrel aged version so had to try it.
This has a vanilla, oak, light bourbon, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and light pumpkin taste. Vanilla is stronger than I remember with the original and the oak is strong. Must be from the barrel aging. The bourbon taste lingers with some of the pumpkin spices also remaining a bit. As I finish and it warms the vanilla and oak come back out taking back over.
I think they took the original and improved by barrel aging. This was excellent.
Canned 7/30/25.
