More Saturday night football, enjoying a dark brew. One of my last beers brought back from Texas. Next week I will be on another excursion to resupply my stock of Texas Lone Star country beer. My son-in-law is sure to make it insane.
Opaque brown color, short caramel head that's dissipating. Weak aroma, mild notes of coconut. Medium texture, feels very dry in the mouth. The taste brings forth very dark roasted French coffee. Only until the finish is there some bittersweet coconut, even then it is mild. The finish is the best part of this beer but it doesn't last long enough, too quick to turn to water.
I think this brew had a lot of potential. More coconut would have helped a lot.

One of the better black IPAs I have tasted on this trip.
