Je l'ai goûtée en sample pour choisir quelle bière j'allais prendre. C'est une DIPA brassée avec des vrais piments scotch bonnet, étant très amateur du piquant, il fallait que je la goûte. Franchement étonnante, mais quand même un peu trop spicy alors que j'adore ça - j'ai une préférence pour la bouffe épicée plutôt que la boisson quand même. Très belle expérience cela dit, et si j'avais eu plus de temps je l'aurais prise en pinte. La note est donc basée sur 2 gorgées (dans un verre chaud) globalement

Une double ipa bue dans une brasserie du petit village Niagara-on-the-lake a côté des chutes du Niagara. IBU 90 annoncé, avec gout mangue et aneth. J'aime pas l'aneth mais je trouve que la bière n'a pas du tout ce goût. Elle est extrêmement amère, sûrement un peu trop mais elle se laisse boire agréablement.

Nimensä mukaisesti kahvinmakuinen. Muuten vähän vaimea.

Viininpunainen. Kevyt kirsikan maku. Ei happamimmasta päästä.

Canned on 29 January, that is six weeks ago. The beer pours foggy, visibly deep dark orange. The effervescent, fairly long-lived carbonation builds an off-white, small-bubbled head that builds itself up to one finger. The foamy cap dissolves soon to a gossamer lacing on the surface. The contracting foam marks the glass with multiple tiny dots. The scent is tropical fruity but moderate: I find apricot, nectarine, grapefruit and a small dollop of orange juice. Promising at this stage. The taste package allows one to experience a hoppy tone on apricot, peach, a bit of honey melon and relatively hefty lemon peel. Mandarin brings in some sweetness. As if I also got a small injection of oat flakes that most likely, though, is not there. The body is medium. The beer finishes with lemon zest, grapefruit and bitter orange peel, all seasoned with a hoppy punch and a drop of resin. The tropical fruit are hidden in the finish. The aftertaste is not particularly long-lasting, as a matter of fact medium at maximum. The mouthfeel is tropical, moderately crisp and remotely piney. The degree of juiciness is high. The mouthfeel is additionally summery and medium-thick. Enjoyable but far from perfect.
