I should have had this Irish Red a few days ago on St Patty's but I'll have it today. Muddy red color, khaki head, and what is this? I took the photo to show all of the particulates floating inside this beer. Is this normal? I'm going to try some of it but I don't think I'll have all of it. Really been looking forward to it and I know it's not too old or abused. Oh, this is good. A little fruity, was maybe fig. Soft Amber sweet flavor. I'm getting a caramel malt and the finish turns a little toasted bread. Not sure where people keep getting apple, can't find it. I really like this and I'm disappointed about all of the debris I'm seeing in this beer. Hoping somebody in their reviews would say it's normal but it didn't happen. I am going to try to find another and see if this was just a quirk.

At The Whole Hog with my son and grandson having a flight of beers. This is number three of a flight of four.
Dark orange color, translucent. Chocolate aroma that is a bit off. I haven't found a white chocolate stout that I have enjoyed yet and I didn't enjoy this one either.

In Jacksonville Alabama at a place I've never been before. Apothecary Draft House sells beer by the ounce. Perfect since I have a long drive home and can take it easy on this 8% beer.
Small head that disappeared quickly. Opaque Brown color. Aroma is a super sweet confectionery sugar. A small amount of dark malt. Moderately creamy, a large amount of cookie dough in the flavor. Traces of roasted malt and a crisp baker's chocolate far in the background. The sweetness becomes mainly in the finish with a charred molasses and burnt marshmallow.
This is an interesting beer, I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't go out of my way to find a six-pack of it.

Backlog from April 25th
Caramel in the aroma along with something else I don't recognize. Taste has caramel and semisweet malts. Nothing special, but not bad either. 3.5/5

Been saving this pumpkin beer for Halloween night. Pours with a thick medium high head, doesn't last very long. Color is a deep Orange and very hazy. Aroma is strong cinnamon, spice and nutmeg, perhaps a little pumpkin mixed in. Texture blends both smooth and dry. Strong flavor, mostly cinnamon, but the nutmeg shows late. Finish is again cinnamon and spice. Best spiced beer I have ever had. Love it!
