Yeastie Boys
New Zealand
chevron_leftchevron_right
Yeastie Boys are a Wellington-based brewing duo (without their own brewery) who have been amongst the leading innovators during the recent rise of craft brewing in New Zealand. The brainchild of Stu McKinlay and Sam Possenniskie - two of New Zealand's most prominent beer activists - the Yeastie Boys have spent the last seven years picking up trophies, receiving critical acclaim from around the world, and proving to even the most cynical beer geek that contract brewing really can result in great beer.

Decent drink. Very similar to Remus, it has a nice floral hoppy aroma and a floral hoppy taste with a subtle banana fruitiness mixed in. It's slightly more sweet but still has a nice bitter finish. There is a subtle spiciness to the aftertaste, but it's enjoyable. Overall, it's smooth and easy to drink.

Decent drink with a nice citrusy aroma, citrusy taste with a nice floral hoppiness mixed in, slightly sweet finish but with a subtle bitterness to the aftertaste. Smooth, crisp, and refreshing session ale that is well balanced.

Just made 40 something raviolis. So no complaints on the beer.

Similar to “Remus” another beer from this months selection from Beer 52 highlighting “The Elements of Beer” As with Remus this pairing highlights Yeast.
Another easy inoffensive session beer. Easy drinking with fruit and floral notes.
