Murky, deep dark brown beer. Restrained carbonation. A fawn small-bubbled head fails to reach one finger and dissipates fast to a hair-thin lace ring.
Dark chocolate, raw cacao powder and roasted malt dominate in the olfactory race. Small amendments of black coffee, licorice and burned wood close the chapter.
Licorice, raw chocolate, crushed cacao bean and bitter overstayed coffee climb to the winning positions in the gustatory contest. Burned malt, ash, soot and crowberry complete this journey.
The body is medium. The end is bitter, coffeeish, burned and slightly grassy. The aftertaste keeps my tastebuds alerted for quite a long time.
The mouthfeel is medium, strong, slightly husky, burned, dry and drying. And simultaneously lip-glueing.
