This has a medium+ roasted malt taste that has just a hint of char to it. Also has some light+ dark cherry & very light dark chocolate that is slightly bitter. Finishes a little dry and bitter.
I’m glad I had a palate cleansing Stella after my previous honey mead lager. I really enjoyed the aspects of this beer and think any lingering honey would have ruined it.

Going to look at a few I brought home from VA. This has a bready and crackery malt taste but is not too sweet. Has some light grassy hops to it that aren’t very strong but I think is keeping the malty side from completely dominating and keeping the sweetness in check.
Overall I found it to be pretty good.

I had this before but back in 2016.
2016 review:
Weak for a pale ale. Barely a hop taste to it. A little florally but not much at all. Gave it 2 & 1/2 stars since it is kind of clean and crisp
2024 review:
Weak for a pale ale. Barely a hops taste to it. It is a little floral. No real malt to it. But I do not find it clean and crisp this time around.
Overall, surprisingly, I was fairly accurate the first time. I think I overrated this one and I’m downgrading it on this review.

This one is very weak. Has some very light citrus that is orange. Not much from a hoppy side. It’s there but very weak. Just not a winner and far from Superb.
