Next door to Whiskey River Ranch relaxing before this afternoon's festivities. Had this before on draft at the brewery and hotel. This will be from the bottle. In a plastic cup so no color description, short head. Sweet Amber malt aroma. The Amber malt flavor is there combining with a strong hop bitterness presence. Turns dry in the finish. Not liking this as much as I did on draft. Not enthusiastic to try again.

Having a great time with family at Faust Brewing Company in New Braunfels Texas. Having their local wheat beer. Poured with a high head, disappears quickly. A light yellow color, has a small amount of haze. A light bitter, followed by orange peel, add some soft sweet notes. Ends with a dry citrus.

With family at Faust Brewing Company. Another in-house beer that is to benefit the New Braunfels professional firefighter association. Brownish color with a little bit of red amber. Aroma of raw dark wort. A thin texture with moderate softness. A rustic, raw bitter, turns dry. Finish of sharp earthy malt. Good beer but not my favorite red ale. Not as sweet as I like.

Having another beer at Faust Brewing with my niece and family members. Medium size very tan head, dissipating. Dark brown color. Aroma of milk chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. Soft yet crisp texture. Flavor brings a combination of dark bittersweet cocoa, adds strong brewed French roast coffee, that's the Java beans. Finishes with a mild bitter coffee, has dryness, notes of raw chocolate.

At Faust Brewing in New Braunfels Texas with family having a very good time. Having an in-house English bitter, my very first. Very high and frothy head. It's lasting a little while. Reddish amber in color and totally clear. Mild bitterness and not much else. Not too intense, somewhat pleasant. Has some roasted amber qualities. Actually this is a pretty good beer. Pleasantly surprised. Don't know how to judge this against other English bitters because I've never had one but I'm okay with this.

At Faust Brewing with family having another good brewery beer. This one is their in house OctoberFaust. Pours with a short head. Totally clear color, ruby red. As red of beer as I've ever seen. Very nice sweet amber flavor. Where is the Marzen? Brewery description says that it's a Marzen beer but nowhere to be found. Gentle, earthy, very good. Very drinkable. But not what are trying to brew. Lower rating for a good brew.

At Faust Brewing Company in New Braunfels Texas with family. Trying another local brew. Deep roasted malt aroma. Dark brown color with some light going through. Velvet smooth texture that turns sharp and crisp on the end. Roasted malt, notes of coffee with the appropriate bitterness. Finish welcomes a gentle malty end that begs of another glass.
