We are at Whiskey River Ranch in Texas for our annual SOTS reunion. This is our 36th gathering on the Guadalupe river. This is entry number eleven in our best beer contest. This is another Lakewood Brewing Temptress beer, it's a raspberry milk stout. Aroma definitely reveals raspberry, no mistaking that. Medium texture is sharp and crisp. The raspberry flavor dominates the milk chocolate malt a little too much for me. Not that I wanted less raspberry, just more chocolate. Enjoying this beer slowly, it never changes as it warms. Finish is dry and adds a touch of bitterness. Longer into the finish the raspberry almost disappears. Would have been nice if it would stick around a little longer. I thought this would be my favorite Temptress. Very good but just a little disappointing since I love raspberry so much.

This Temptress series has always been excellent. Dubai Chocolate has a lot of potential. Strong amaretto aroma, medium level thickness. Dark chocolate, amaretto, the pistachios are there, and the finish gives that dark chocolate dry bitterness that's excellent. Nothing artificial. Only drawback is it might be just a little too sweet, unusual for me to say that. I love this beer but Ryan feels the amaretto was too strong. I love it anyway. My favorite so far.

Makea, ei laiha muttei silti mikään erityisen täyteläinenkään. Ehkä jälkiruuaksi sopivin.

It's a bitter but not a good tasting beer

Viime vuoden Beer republicin adventtikalenterin 7. luukku. Täytyy juoda pois ennen seuraavaa kalenteria. Musta olut sormen vahvuisella beigellä vaahdolla. Tuoksussa on paahdetta, suklaata ja mallasta. Olut on keskitäyteläinen, hapokas, makea ja pehmeä. Mausta löytyy mallasta, paahdetta, kahvia, suklaata ja karamellia. Makeutta ei ollut liikaa, vaan olut oli tasapainossa. Ihan kiva tyylilajinsa olut. (5+7+4+8+14=38) 3,8

Nice Imperial milk stout that pours nice and thick and sexy. Another winner from Lakewood Brewery.
