Last day of the 34th SOTS Reunion. Awards will be given for best beer. This is not an entry, I found this at HEB.
Coffee cream ale actually tastes like yesterday's coffee and no cream characteristic can be found. Short review since we're out on the river but I was not impressed with this at all. Obviously, Ryan did not like it.

Third day of SOTS 2023. Worked hard yesterday, today we play in the Guadalupe. Difficult to give an accurate reading while sitting in the river. No head or color, had to enjoy from the can. Seemed lacking on flavor. My description is a watered-down light beer. Not bad, but... Needed a lot more flavor for me.

Have to love Texas. Having a good craft beer on tap at the grocery store. Shopping for beer while having a beer. Awesome! Found a unique Amber, that's the one.
In a plastic cup, Shiner no less, so can't get a color. Lightly sweet, mild roast, easy going Amber flavor. Bitterness appears late along with traces of cereal.
This beer is okay, I was hoping for something more.

Another Duo beer with my son-in-law in Texas. This Bad Santa, from Austin Texas, sounds like it's going to be very interesting.
Pours with a cola brown, opaque in the glass. Nice creamy khaki head. Aroma has both chocolate and coffee. Soft texture. First sip reveals a dark roasted bitter malt, coffee, and a blend of milk chocolate and raw cocoa. Finish turns bittersweet chocolate, coffee, with notes of caramel. Stays velvet soft from first to last.
I am loving this stout. No struggling to search for flavors orwhat is hiding. All straight forward to enjoy. Easy review and good.
