Still at Guadalupe Brewing company enjoying the last of a flight of four beers with Ryan. This one is a 14.9% barrel aged Imperial Stout. Uh-oh.
Even in a tiny snifter glass poured to the very top, I can smell dark fruit, ripe raisin. That first taste, with a blast of Bourbon Barrel alcohol and dark fruit is outstanding. A natural dark fruit sweetness along with a heavy and intense malt and alcohol is taking this over the top. Two sips in and I am thoroughly pleased with what they have accomplished. Finish adds a semi-sweet dark chocolate that takes away nothing from the previous flavors. One of my favorite stouts that they have ever made here.

With Ryan at Guadalupe Brewing enjoying a flight of beers. Life is good when you get to visit a place like this.
Third beer on the flight, a Vienna lager called Polka Face. From the very first I'm not impressed with this. Taste was sharp and light, reminded me of the smell that came from boiling eggs. Vinegar and a touch of sulfur. Bitter on the finish for sure. Great Brewery but this is a miss.

Ryan and I are having a flight at Guadalupe Brewing here in New Braunfels Texas. Really good Brewery that never goes cheap. Quality is Paramount and great hometown Texas atmosphere.
5 oz taster in a snifter glass 🍷 with this roasted Baltic Porter. Oh my! This is incredibly soft, dark fruit sweet, mostly black cherry, 10% alcohol is not hidden, I even get a touch of dark semi sweet chocolate in the background. Glides into the finish the same is before only adding a whiff of dryness and a modest wood characteristic. No warning whatsoever at the brewery that all these flavors were going to attack. Softest Porter I think I've ever had.

At Guadalupe Brewing with Ryan having an excellent day of exceptional beers.
Golden color, clear. Sweet, soft, no really soft, honey is so evident. Not complicated, just a fine, drinkable beer on a 100 degree Texas day.

At Guadalupe Brewing company having some beer before leaving Whiskey River Ranch. Love this place, brought Ryan for their S'mores beer. It's awesome.
I'm having a Czech dark lager. No head on this draft. Deep clear blood red color. Flavor gives a dark malt, not heavy, semisweet, mild roasted coffee. Ends a little dry. Almost a dunkel. Love it.

At the 2021 San Antonio Beer Festival with my son-in-law. At the Guadalupe Brewing tent. I've had this before but it was too good to pass up.
Love this beer. Most pecan beers I hardly taste the pecans but not this one. Strong pecan flavor with intense cinnamon, all on top of a chocolate background. Very flavorful and unique.

This is an amazing beer. The aroma is intense fig. The taste is of warm figs soaked in bourbon. Nice smooth finish. Wow! I love this. It reminds me of the figs and cream cheese my grandfather used to eat - but boozy. Yum. Try this!!!!!

Guadalupe Brewing with family having a great time trying out another great stout. Wonderful place with wonderful atmosphere.
Very creamy texture intense peanut butter flavor with some coffee kicking in toward the end. Sweet, no bitterness whatsoever. Coffee flavore dominates the finish but peanut butter is still enjoyable with it. Excellent stout.
